ML image generation as exactly as artistic as the person wielding it;
Like all artforms, it reflects the artist's personal biases, experiences, and intent, to a greater degree the more control is taken;
Unlike more traditional art forms however, it's directly impacted by an immeasurably large sum of human creation all weighed equally;
What the artist chooses to show through or in spite of this is the impact;
To be clear, however, slop is slop, no matter the medium, and, unlike other mediums, ML image gen art should almost never be judged on its aesthetic appeal;
Additionally, I am very against the capitalistic uses of this tech and am thinking primarily of selfhostable and FOSS models;
