@rosie@segfault.us.to
what specs do you need to run an email server
@rosie@segfault.us.to good, because i'll be getting the piss cheap glauca digital vps for the stuff i can't host on my own infra (email, status page)
teslas honestly deserve to get torched for being such shitty cars
i'm being deadass here, teslas are not good cars! like ffs if you need to perform an unreliable touchscreen gesture to put the damn thing in reverse what's the point in getting one
also the yoke-style steering wheel is an absolute catastrophe
oh and the lack of a dashboard is honestly terrifying. like imagine blasting down the 401 at 100km/h and having to turn your head to look at the giant ipad just to see if you're speeding
@fish Wait, they don't have a dashboard? For real? Tesla is literally treating a car like it is a tablet peripheral?
Wow.
@dawngreeter yep! the only controls you have are the couple of capacitive buttons on the steering wheel and the touchscreen. oh and the legally required physical hazard button, but with elon at the helm of the us government, god knows how long that'll last.
it be past midnight and i am in the mood for a coffee
@rosie@segfault.us.to already doing that

here is also the shell script i use to generate it
you can also just run my fork in its entirety, it also has (some) support for emoji reactions, and lots of fixes for various formatting bugs
also it's awkward for me, because i never actually sent out PRs before. i'm not experienced with contributing to software
youre an asshole if you complain about someone not using proper punctuation and capitalizaton. its a whole different story if someone uses the wrong punctuation though. i have a right to make fun of you if you say something like "i have friend's"
that may be your experience, but the stopped clock machine has been right or close enough in my personal testing and the benchmarks
mom got me some crazy fancy headphones as an early gift and holy fucking shit this rocks
night and day difference between my earbuds and speakers and these things, I have GOT to try them out in VR next
technically all "vibe code" is public domain
@esm was discussed in the local tech meet up today; first time I heard the phrase.
Still a little unsure exactly what it is, but seems to be people with limited experience asking LLMs to write software and then running it verbatim?
@esm I just hope that the model feels the same imposter syndrome I get to feel whenever I make big architectural decisions without any degree or other certification to back it up.
You just make them;: | 0 |

neat little and simple web file browser for your vpshttps://github.com/pldubouilh/gossa for example using it for www-res.dragon-vi.be
(as read only with another instance in another url with auth that has edit permissions)
@sirlan@derg.social i should probably put more things on my pub
@sirlan@derg.social i have https://synth.download/pub which is just powered by regular ol caddy , i feel like there could probably be more on it .. dammit , i need to make a functional synth download button
@sneexy@booping.synth.download didn't know caddy had a file browser ui thing
@sirlan@derg.social yeah , it does . with some configuration options for a grid view as well although not that its persistent
@rosie@segfault.us.to @sirlan@derg.social to be fair these are really basic "serving shit straight from http" file viewers
the thing in the of post allows for a bit more customization , seems to provide neater file browsing ( and viewing media directly from it instead of having to open the file directly ) as well as the ability to upload directly to it from the ui
Brushing my hair over to the one side kinda fucks
@julia@eepy.moe hoooly . rizzlia โโ
@rosie@segfault.us.to yeah it really likes to drift back to a neutral position
@Velveteen iโve never seen one. are you sure itโs not default favicon of a fork?
@Velveteen@labyrinth.zone @xarvos@outerheaven.club do you mean the vtuber styled logos ? i think at one point someone was doing comms for them and a lot of people got them as for me though i did mine myself โ
new rule if ur on synth.download u need to have a synthsona
in effect immediately if u don't show me something within the next 5 minutes ur account is deleted no exceptions
@AppleAmps@seafoam.space @sneexy@booping.synth.download
A, uh, robotic patagonian darwin's iguana that can change colors and uses wind power for energy.
@AppleAmps@seafoam.space @Amps oh that's actually pretty neat
@sneexy hello this is mine here right here do not delete me โโ
@rosie@segfault.us.to yea sure they sick as hell

(Identification): Cicada
(Lifespan) Indefinite; specimen is 16 years of age
(Species) Sentient computer virus
(Identifies as) Moth
(Place of residence) OpenBSD servers (datacentre); simulation will run on command to permit interaction with real objects - don't question how this works; the simulation applies real physics and is essentially a black box that cannot be tampered with
(Height) Chosen avatar for simulations is 145cm
(Abilities)
- Can infect artificial lifeforms; extent of possible damage is not yet known
- Pentesting/hacking
(Appearance) Chosen avatar for simulations is a bipedal moth with prominently black colouring and purple highlights; the avatar has 2 antennae with a length of approximately 50cm, a roughly human facial structure and hair (waist-length), 4 arms, and 2 sets of wings, which reach down to the ankles
(Description)
- Obsessed with computers, particularly the OpenBSD project
- Chaotic neutral, has few morals due to a lack of consistent interaction with humans
- Will frequently scan in interesting objects to fiddle with them
- Not an AI in the traditional sense, as she can't self-improve herself, but she does have an intuitive understanding of many computer-related subjects
- Incredibly ADHD due to multi-thousand core SMP
- Cannot exit the datacentre without a host, such as a USB drive or a synth
- Neural network is aprox. 15GB, due to constant size optimizations
youtube PLEASE STOP RECOMMENDING ME FEMTANYL I FUCKING HATE THAT SHIT
@rosie exactly broooo i do not understand the appeal at all its just senseless noise
